Location: Complete the “Find the Flags” game of 3 Musty Fears. First, sleep on the bed in an empty room in Monstro Town. While sleeping 3 ghastly figures will appear and talk to Mario in his sleep. They give him a quest to find 3 flags, which are hidden all over the world.
The first flag, is in Mario’s bed in Mario’s Pad. Next, is in Rose Town’s “welcome” signpost. The last one is in between the letters “O” and “A” on Yoshi Derby in Yo’ster Isle.
After collecting all the flags, go back to Monstro Town and sleep on the same bed. The 3 Musty Fears will reward Mario the Ghost Medal for beating their game.
11) Jinx Belt

Location: In Monstro Town dojo, beat Jinx in 3 battles to acquire the Jinx Belt.
12) Quartz Charm

Effects: Prevents instant death and halves the damage taken from attacks. It also increases the item attack, normal attack and special attack by 50% from their normal damage.
Location: To unlock Culex’s sealed room in Monstro Town, you must first get the Shiny Stone. In Moleville, buy Fireworks (for 500 coins) from a mole in the house behind the item store. Then, go to a young mole who pretends to have her own store and swap the Fireworks for a Shiny Stone.
After completing this requirement, it’s time to go in Monstro Town and open the sealed door to fight Culex. He is one of the toughest enemy in the game, so better equip yourself and level up your characters before confronting him. Culex will reward Mario’s party the Quartz Charm after the battle.
13) Rare Scarf

Effects: Increases defense moderately.
Location: Found in the topmost cloud area in Bean Valley before reaching Nimbus Land, which can only be accessed by climbing beanstalks. It is concealed within a treasure box, just next to another box that contains a Frog Coin.

Effects: Prevents mute and poison status.
Location: In the Sunken Ship area where you can find the third Save Block, hit the treasure box to fight Hidon. Defeat the guy to obtain the Safety Badge.

Effects: Prevents all status effects and instant death. Also nullifies fire, ice, lightning and light based elemental spells.
Location: From the entrance of the last underwater room full of barrels (just before you’ll meet the pirates), go to the left side of the room and behind the barrels. You’ll end up in a hidden room where the Safety Ring is located.
16) Scrooge Ring
Cuts FP use in half during battle.

Effects: Halves the Flower Points requirement when executing a special move.
Location: Available at the shop of Frogfucius’ student in Seaside Town.
17) Signal Ring

Effects: A notable sound is heard whenever Mario enters an area with an invisible Surprise Box.
Location: After defeating Valentina in Nimbus Land, head to the house at the far right and talk to Croco. He will drop the Signal Ring on his way to the door.

20) Wake Up Pin
Prevents Mute & Sleep attacks.

Location: In the trap room where Fireballs lurk the floor in Booster’s Tower, collect all the keys to open the door with large keyhole in the middle. You can find the Zoom Shoes in that sealed room. Also available at the accessory shop in Seaside Town.
