Vincent’s Hidden Comments
This trick works for both Jonathan and Charlotte.
1) Have one of your character disappear on the screen.
2) Stand in front of Vincent and press “Up” button for 10 seconds.
The worrywart Vincent will make a comment about the status of the unavailable character.
Duplicate Quest Rewards
This is a glitch that will easily increase your item acquisition. When you just completed a quest, talk to Wind/Eric to open the quest menu. Then press “A” button twice. A sound will confirm the reward and press “Start” button to exit the menu.
You will notice that you obtained the reward but when you go back to the quest menu it is registered as an unfinished quest. Repeat the same method all over again to duplicate your reward.
Enhance Stats for Richter, Sisters and Old Axe Armor Modes
This trick will help you finish the Richter, Sisters and Old Axe Armor modes in no time. Although you start at level 1, but your damage is high enough for an easy kill.
1) First finished the Hard Mode of the main game (Jonathan/Charlotte Mode). Any level caps will work but for a better stats growth the level 1 cap is highly recommended.
2) Go to main menu and choose New Game + of the main game (Jonathan/Charlotte Mode). Then press “A” button.
3) When the difficulty screen shows up, just press “B” button.
4) Use an empty save file and press “A” button. Choose any of the 3 game modes available and start the game.
Jump a Few More Times
This trick will help you a lot early in the game. Hard to reach ledges and hidden rooms from ceilings can be accessed using this one. That means better items and stronger weapons can be acquired as early as possible. However, this trick needs a lot of luck and good timing.
1) First, tap the touch screen above in order for your partner to jump. If you already obtained the double jump ability, your partner will jump twice instead of a single jump.
2) When your partner is high enough, press “X” button to switch control of characters. Then press “B” button to make an extra jump and another one.
Play as Maria Only
This glitch is for fun only game, since Maria cannot beat the game all alone. She lacks a double jump ability that is greatly needed in some elevated areas.
1) First, be sure that Richter and Old Axe Armor modes have been unlocked.
2) In your main game (Jonathan/Charlotte mode) switch the main character to Charlotte. Then save and restart the game.
2) In the main menu, choose New Game + of the main game (Jonathan/Charlotte mode).
3) At the name entry screen, press “B” button and start a new game. Choose the Old Axe Armor mode.
Instead of the Old Axe Armor, Maria will be your playable character.
English Voiceovers for Japanese Version
To trigger the English voiceover for Japanese version just press “A” button while holding “L” button from the main menu. Jonathan will say “show time” to confirm the activation of English voiceovers.
A Fully Completed Map for Richter, Sisters and Old Axe Armor Modes
When you play the New Game + of the main game (Jonathan/Charlotte mode), you’ll carry over the map of your previous game but not on the other modes. This glitch, however, defies that normal sequence.
1) First, click the “bat icon” of the New Game +.
2) On the difficulty screen, press “B” button to go back. Then go to any empty file and start a new game of any of the three modes available.
At the start of the game you’ll notice that the whole map is already complete.
Switching the Grand Cross Subweapon Skill to Maria
The downside of Richter’s Grand Cross is that he’s to exposed to enemy attacks while performing it. It renders him unable to move while performing the skill. Using this glitch switches the Grand Cross from Richter to Maria but giving her a full movement control while using it. This proves helpful for boss battles.
1) First, let Maria be your main character and have Richter choose Grand Cross as his sub weapon skill.
2) Maria should be the only character on the screen. Then press “R” button to call Richter and perform the Grand Cross.
3) When Richter shows up, immediately press “A” button to send him away. The Grand Cross will switch side to Maria without rendering her immovable. You can run to and fro while damaging enemies nearby.
Alternate Portrait of Vincent
To unlock a new portrait of Vincent Dorin other the normal one, just beat the Hard Mode at any level cap. The alternate portrait will be shown on the credits reel.
Good Ending Bonuses
1) A New Game + which retains most of the previous game’s items, full map coverage and the Hard Mode.
2) Boss Rush Course 2 and 3.
3) Sound Mode.
Boss Rush Rewards
1)Astral Ring - complete course 1 in under 1 minute.
2) Invisible Cape -complete course 1 in under 3 minutes.
3) Record 1 - complete course 2 in under 3 minutes.
4) Illusion Fist - complete course 2 in under 5 minutes.
5) Record 2 - complete course 3 in under 3 minutes.
6) Scout Armor - complete course 3 in under 5 minutes.
Hard Mode Trophies
Hard Mode comes in three difficulties depending on its Level Cap. Upon the completion of the game, it will permanently unlocks the bonus stats of the characters (depending on the level cap you choose). Playing Level Cap 1 will unlock all the rewards, thus it is highly recommended.
1) Level Cap 50 - unlocks Vic Viper (+50 LCK) only.
2) Level Cap 25 - unlocks Twin Bee (+50 INT) and Vic Viper (+50 LCK).
3) Level Cap 1 - unlocks Konami Man (+50 STR), Twin Bee (+50 INT) and Vic Viper (+50 LCK).
Unlocking Richter Mode
Beat the Whip’s Memory and Dracula to unlock Richter Mode. Richter Belmont and Maria Reinard will be the playable characters.
Unlocking Sisters Mode
Beat the Whip’s Memory and Dracula to unlock Sisters Mode. Stella Lecarde and Loretta Lecarde will be the playable characters.
Unlocking Old Axe Armor Mode
Kill at least 1000 Old Axe Armor (enemy) and “save” the game. Now reset the game, go to the main menu and choose a new game. The Old Axe Armor character is now available.
Unlock the Magus Ring
Complete all of Wind’s quest to unlock the Magus Ring. Upon the completion of all the quests available, you can find the Magus Ring in between Wind’s Room and the Entrance’s Warp Room.
Unlock the Birthday Cake
Adjust your birthday from your DS menu to the current date. Now, resume the game and head to Vincent’s shop. He will offer you a Birthday cake that cost you $ 3,000.
