Soul Guide
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow

51) Needles Soul
Summon Needles as a familiar.

Level:*/3
Type: Guardian
From: Obtain from Needles.
Location: Subterranean Hell
Rarity: 2 Stars
Combo: Fish Head Soul

Note: Soma summons Needles that protect his back from approaching enemies and projectiles. It has minimal damage but when fully upgraded it summons 3 Needles that have slightly increased attack. When equipped together with Fish Head Soul, each Needles will throw Fish Heads aside from Soma. Unleashing 4 deadly projectiles in all.

52) Hell Boar Soul
Knock down enemies with power-packed uppercuts.

Level:*/1
Type: Bullet
From: Obtain from Hell Boar.
Location: The Lost Village, The Dark Chapel
Rarity: 2 Stars
Combo: N/A

Note:
This soul works just like Slaughterer soul. It has a little bit more
Power, but has even less range. And I recommend to use this with
the werewolf soul, just like slaughterer soul.

53) Bone Pillar Soul
Increase CON.

Level:*/9
Type: Enchant
From: Obtain from Bone Pillar.
Location: The Dark Chapel
Rarity: 3 Stars
Combo: N/A

Note: Increases CON stat, thus making Soma more resistant against curse and poison. This soul is useful when fighting Killer Dolls, Tanjellys and Medusa Heads. Also, an increase in CON means an increase in DEF too. If upgraded to its max level (which gives +18 CON to stat) also increases DEF by half of that number.

54) White Dragon Soul
Breathe fire.

Level:*/3
Type: Guardian
From: Obtain from White Dragon.
Location: The Abyss, The Dark Chapel
Rarity: 2 Stars
Combo: N/A

Note: Casts a burst of fiery flame that damages enemies in front. When using this ability, Soma is immovable for quite sometime but it can easily be cancelled if the need arises. Since it deals a decent damage over time, this soul can be very effective against slow moving enemies and bosses.

55) WakWak Tree Soul
Lower STR and raise CON.

Level:*/9
Type: Enchant
From: Obtain from Wakwak Tree.
Location: Garden of Madness
Rarity: 2 Stars
Combo: N/A

Note: Greatly increases CON while sacrificing some STR, thus increases DEF while lowers the ATK. Also, CON determines Soma’s resistance against curse and poison which makes him more immune against status effects.

Although, it may look like a bad trade for stat boost yet this soul can be surprisingly very useful. When fully upgraded, it gives +36 to CON (that’s 100% higher than the Bone Pillar Soul) while lowers the STR by half of that number. Use this ability while equipping items which boost STR to resolve its deficiency on this particular stat.

From: Obtain from Cave Troll.
Location: Subterranean Hell, Wizardry Lab

118) Hippogryph Soul
Press Up + L button to jump higher.

Level:*/1
Type: Ability
From: Break the candlestick that contains the Hippogryph Soul.
Location: The Abyss
Rarity: N/A
Combo: N/A

Note: Soma jumps higher than what a double jump can accomplish. The good thing about this ability is that the possibility of jumping more in midair is endless. You can use this soul to evade projectiles and enemies by sticking on the ceiling for quite sometime. It also replaces much of the Bat Company’s uses later in the game.
