Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia

I - New Game +

Finish the game once with good ending. At the Start Screen Menu, starts a new game and select the bat icon that appears next to the recent completed file. You’ll start at the very beginning of the game but retaining almost all items, glyphs and other important elements in the gameplay.

Here is the list of all retainable elements:

1) All items.
2) Most of the glyphs acquired.
3) Whole area of the map you’ve explored so far.
4) Attribute stats of glyphs.
5) Gold.
6) Experience level.
7) Retains the HP Max bonus.
8) Retains the MP Max bonus.
9) Retains the Heart Max bonus.
10) Retains the Book of Spirits and Glyph Sleeve relics.
11) Guides information.
12) Term Lists information.


II - Unlocking the Queen of Hearts

Finish the game in Hard Mode by either level cap 50 or level cap 1. Queen of Hearts is a head gear that reduces the amount of heart consumption when executing the Glyph Union.


III - Unlocking the 255 Max Level

Finish the game in Hard Mode level cap 1. Shanoa can now raise her level up to 255 maximum level.


IV - Unlocking Albus Mode

Finish the game once to unlock Albus Mode.

Albus has a different gameplay from Shanoa. He has only few spells, limited attack types, cannot access main menu nor equip any weapon, armor or accessory. However, he can jump higher than Shanoa and can move freely underwater at the very beginning.


V - Unlocking Boss Rush Mode

Finish the game once to unlock the Boss Rush Mode.

Boss Rush Mode is a time trial game which features bosses found in the main game. It is divided in two courses, namely course A and course B. By beating the game unlocks items, armors and accessories which are not found in the game, with exception to Potion.


VI - Boss Rush Rewards

Beat the Boss Rush in both course A and B to receive the following:

Course A
Beating course A for over 4 minutes will result in acquiring the helms. If you beat it under 4 minutes, you’ll received the R. Eye of Devil instead.

1) Sword Helm
2) Rapier Helm
3) Lance Helm
4) Hammer Helm
5) Arrow Helm
6) R. Eye of Devil


Course B
Beating course B for over 4 minutes will result in acquiring the helms. If you beat it under 4 minutes, you’ll received the L. Eye of God instead.

1) Axe Helm
2) Sickle Helm
3) Knife Helm
4) Shield Helm
5) L. Eye of God

VII - Unlocking Sound Mode

Finish the game once to unlock Sound Mode. In this menu you can try all the music and voices (both English and Japanese) available in the game.


VIII - Strength Ring

From the right entrance in Minera Prison Island, just head left once. You’ll end up in an area full of spotlights swirling around. Let Shanoa get caught by one of the lights and a Tin Man will appear. Destroy the thing to unlock the blue treasure chest which will emerge from the ground. The Strength Ring is concealed within that chest.

Strength Ring increases STR stat greatly.


IX - Fortune Ring

From the Save Room of Mystery Manor, just head 2 rooms left. You’ll end up in a dark room full of spikes. Use the Arma Machina Glyph (transforms Shanoa into a mechanical robot) and destroy the spikes to reveal the Fortune Ring.

Fortune Ring increases LCK according to how long you play the game. The longer you play the higher the LCK stat increase.


X - Justice Ring

From the lower Save Room of Monastery, head right, top left and left. You’ll end up in a room with breakable falling blocks on the farther left. First, absorb the Cubus Glyph concealed within the pile. Then, destroy all the blocks using the Globus Glyph. Each column of blocks will eventually stops falling from right to left. Continue casting Globus until not a single block falls. A blue treasure chest will then emerge from the ground which contains the Justice Ring.

Justice Ring increases the ATK for killing enemies. The more you killed the higher the ATK stat increase.


XI - Collectible Items

There are 3 unique items in the game which have no use other than they’re another collectibles. Each item gives 5000 points.

1) Konami Man

Location: Found in the vertical room just outside the right Save Room of Minera Prison Island. There is a breakable block of the top right broken stair.

2) Twinbee

Location: From the top middle Save Room of Kalidus Channel, head 2 rooms right. You’ll end up in an open sea where Mermen, Needles and Sea Stingers are swarming the place. There is a breakable ceiling in the doorway where you just came out.

3) Vic Viper

Location: From the right entrance of Somnus Reef, head 3 areas left. You’ll end up in a small room where you rescued the young boy Serge. There is a breakable block on the upper edge of the doorway.


XII - Boss Medals

Defeat each boss without taking damage to receive their respective medals. A blue treasure chest will emerge from the ground after beating a boss. These medals are some sort of rewards for outstanding gameplay performance and has no specific attributes nor uses in battle. They are merely collectibles like the Konami Man, Twin Bee and Vic Viper.

XIII - VIP Card

Buy at Jacob’s shop until you reach a certain amount of money spent. Jacob will give Shanoa a VIP Card as a sign of gratitude for patronizing his shop. Use the card when buying expensive items, weapons, armors and accessories to get a discount.


XIV - Morbus Glyph

From the lower Save Room of Mechanical Tower, head left, right, 2 rooms left, right and another 2 rooms left. You’ll end up in a small room with two electrical devices that can be powered by lightning spells (any Fulgur glyph). Hit the electrical devices together before one of them runs out. If done correctly, the hidden door from the background will open where the Morbus Glyph is concealed.


XV - Dracula’s Medal

After defeating Dracula without taking any damage, just load the save file after the credits roll. The blue treasure chest will appear in the last Save Room you saved your game.
